Old things at my stock room
What do you usually do to your old things in your Stock Room? do you sell them or just store it their?
How often do you clean your stockroom/storage room?
Is your stockroom the attic or the basement of your house? Mine is just a small room. How do you clean it? Do you move everything or do you just dust and vacuum away the dirt? How do you organize the stuff that you don't get to use often? Are they in boxes or in some other kind of container? Do you label them? Thank you in advance. Happy mylottin!
Stock rooms..
I just checked our stock room this morning, it's too crowded and haven't been cleaned for maybe a month. So I decided to check and clean it first thing this weekend, maybe organize and sort out all the stuffs that needs to thrashed so I could make some room for the one's that I'm planning to put inside. Our stock room is just small, but the good thing is it has shelves where we could put small stuffs in it. If I'm not mistaking, it's 6x6 in both angles and about 12 feet in height. We have an old tv, monitor and other miscellaneous stuffs in it. Some I'm planning to dump and others could be sold for recycling, as I could also make an extra cash out of it!;)I know that others have attics and dungeons or basements, where they could stock up some of the junks that piles up in their house. So where do you put your's, or do you simply throw things away?
My latest work blunder! ..And what's yours?
Ohmigosh. It was monday morning, at Macy's, and I was pushing a cart full of back stock (overflow merchandise) to the stock room - and I knocked over an $80 Ralph Lauren Polo cologne Christmas set! Goodness. To make matters worse, I tried to clean it up myself at first, and ended up getting it all over my hands and dress pants - and it literally would NOT wash off. I ended up smelling like Polo (which smells good, but only in moderation) for the REST OF THE DAY. (And as we all know.. When you're a chick, smelling like mens cologne is NOT a good thing!) It was so strong and gave me (and everyone around me!) such an uber-bad headache. Luckily my boss didn't make me pay for it (thankfully!) and I didn't get reprimanded for it at all. But it was still a pain in the butt. What about you? I want to hear some stories to reassure myself that I'm not the only one who has the occasional work-related blunder.[em]happy[/em]
have you ever been caught??;D
i've got a crush on one of the pharmacists at the hospital where i took my internship way back when i was in 2nd year college. he didn't have a clue i have a thing for him until i asked my friend to tell him to load mobile games on my phone. to do this, he have to turn on my bluetooth connection, and i had forgotten that i changed my bluetooth name to our combined name (mine + my crush's name). when i realized this he was already loading games and he was smiling.. i was really embarrassed that i hid in the stock room until he went home.. hehe.. i was told that he was looking for me before he went home..;p what abt u?? time to spill..;p
A few quotes to prepare for the holidays
I work at Macy's and am getting ready to spend the better part of tonight unpacking Christmas stuff. Woohoo for a rocking Wednesday night. I actually enjoy it though, my boss and I are friends and she's bringing her daughter who is 15 so we put on crazy music and dance around the stock room like fools.Preparing for Christmas is a major undertaking, but here are a few quotes that I have taped above my desk(as of yesterday) to help me get through the season. The Grinch: The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me down there - on such short notice! Even if I wanted to go my schedule wouldn't allow it. 4:00, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one; 5:30, jazzercize; 6:30, dinner with me - I can't cancel that again; 7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing... I'm booked. Of course, if I bump the loathing to 9, I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip slowly into madness. But what would I wear?Lou Lou Who: I'm glad he took our presents. You can't hurt Christmas, Mr. Mayor, because it isn't about the... the gifts or the contest or the fancy lights. That's what Cindy's been trying to tell everyone......
Another story from the vaults of my memory...
So, we are going back to the early 1980's again...I was working for the state, I'd been there for a couple of years and had made some friends in the building. One was a guy in the mail/stock room. One day he came in and told me to come with him. I followed and there, in the stock room, kind of blocked in with supplies was a tiny little ball of fluff."Oh, what a cute little girl!" I exclaimed. And all the men in the stockroom looked at me like I'd grown a second head. Alright, I hadn't even touched the kitten yet. I had only just gotten a look at the tiny ball of white and orange and black fluff."How did you know it was a girl?" Jerry asked. Now I looked at him like he'd grown a second head."She's a calico. All calico's are female," I replied."I wish I'd shown her to you first, I just spent $30 at the vets getting her sexed," he told me."Well, she probably needed to be checked anyway," I told him.He had gotten the kitten for his kids. I told him he needed to be sure to get her spayed and he seemed to think that was a good idea, no idea if he did tho.Gads, I bet he's a grandfather now!
My Poor Friend.........
[em]happy[/em]You know who he is? am not sure the Newbies knew him. He missed mylot, and for him, three months is almost like forever. He tried to log-in this morning but he can't. I feel sorry for the guy, almost every 3 days he would hang out with my hubby, but his true purpose there was to know the latest status in mylot regarding his account. I've sent a report about his account 2 months ago.[em]lol[/em]Three days ago i saw walking around Makati City. I asked him, and he said"He's applying again" then how come your going home? he said"it's not the same" then i sadi how can it be the same, it's crisis for pit's sake. you re-applied in such a wrong. just being truthful to him, he completely screwed up. I don't know, i have a Bad feeling that he'll never get his account back in case he failed to log-in again next month. How is he? a bit ok and depressed still. and his male cat is kinda loosing hair and hates noises that it keeps going back to the stock room. Any advice to my mylot friend.....who's about to snap a bit[em]w00t[/em]
Do you keep broken things at home? Do you still repair it?
We had broken vases. My mom taped the chipped off part to its vase. The tape has covered a big part on top of the vase. it does not that look good cause the tape was too obvious. But because thoughts that it was not a cheap vase that she must still use. We had broken Art frame and had to tape its side too to the frame. WE had still lots of broken things and damaged things that we have not repaired and just have them in one stock room. we can't easily throw things. do you have difficulty throwing things out.
