| | How to become a Player Moderator. | | The Player Moderator crown is a highly sought after reward, but it takes hard work and patience.
Player Moderators(Pmods), can be considered "officers" of the game. They are regular players hand-picked by Jagex staff. A few ways to increase you chances of being picked are:
1-Reporting when necessary and having accurate reports.
2-Following all of the Jagex rules, and not advertising that they should be broken.
3- Acting in a mature manner and setting good examples.
4-Having a decent knowledge of the game and rules.
5-Helping other people.
6-Behaving well on the ingame forums.
There is an article in the knowledge base that may answer a lot of questions. If you have any questions, I woul be happy to answer them here.

| Why are people picky when choosing discussions to respond to? | | Here's what I don't get here on mylot. Why are people so picky when choosing which discussions to respond to. I mean either way they get money, so they should want to respond to as many discussions as they get. But I see a lot of people with 0 responses to their discussions, so it's a loss for the discussion poster and the non-responder. Why can't we all help one another to get more money? I try to reply to all of the posts that I see, because I know I'm not only benefitting myself, but also the person that posting the discussion. Has anyone else noticed this as well? | |
| | use my ubuntu laptop as a "router" | | hi everyone!I don't have a router at home, and my ubuntu laptop is wired to the internet. Sometimes my girlfriend want to use internet on her own laptop, so she steals the cable from my computer and puts it into her own. that's kinda annoying the two laptops have both wired and wireless lan. one solution could be to share the internet connection through my laptop via the wireless card.something like this: internet (wired) --> my laptop --> internet (wireless) --> gf's laptop. Is this possible? I have read this thread, but couldn't find out if it works with wireless sharing..thanks

| I am a learner here. Are you? | | Hello friends![em]happy[/em]
I feel that I can claim to be a learner here on myLot. Since I joined mylot I have learnt a lot from each and every post I started or participated. I could learn from different views and perspective, which others shared with me. There are so many learned and intelligent mylotters who always helped me broaden my vision and knowledge base. When I start a new post, it becomes a new learning experience for me because invariably I get some unexpected responses, which twist the issue and give a new dimension to a post. I am thankful to all the friends/users who participate in my posts and give me an opportunity to learn new ideas/things. What is your opinion? Do you also think that forum of mylot is a ‘learning board’ or a ‘learning platform’ and you get to learn from new posts, in which you participate. Many thanks in advance for your response.
